Duke University Hospital is recruiting for an Emergency Medical Services physician - regular rank faculty Emergency Physician to serve as an Assistant Medical Director for Duke Life Flight.
Duke Life Flight is a specialty and critical care transport service with both ground and aeromedical capabilities. Duke Life Flight has over 1,200 annual flights (20% direct scene transports and 80% interfacility transports). Ground transports are Basic, Advanced Life Support, and Specialty care, which includes Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) capable units and neonatal specialty care units. Advanced Life Support transports in 2021 were 1,185; BLS transports were 26 and Specialty (Critical) Care Transports numbered 3,018.
Duke University Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center with over 75,000 visits annually, a state-of-the-art facility, and a competitive EM residency program. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive and innovative EM faculty group in an outstanding, world class healthcare system.
