The VA Northeast Ohio Health Care System seeks a full-time, Medical Director of Hospice and Palliative Care.

The successful candidate will provide palliative care services in an inpatient and outpatient setting as well as on the dedicated hospice unit. This position includes staff leadership and clinical teaching of trainees.

The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA is a large tertiary care facility providing healthcare to the Veteran population throughout Northeast Ohio. Qualified candidates should be board certified either in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with subspecialty fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative care.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in clinical team leadership. This position will report to the Section Chief of Geriatrics, Hospice, and Palliative Care within the Medicine Service. This physician will work closely with trainees at all levels and will provide consultative services across the healthcare system in addition to caring for patients on the 12-bed inpatient hospice unit.

As the Cleveland VA is an academic facility affiliated with Case Western University School of Medicine, qualified applicants will also demonstrate continued interest in academic scholarship. An academic appointment commensurate with clinical and academic achievements will be pursued through CWRU SOM.
