Physician, Primary Care Medical Director, Two Veteran Affairs Locations:

The White River Junction Veteran Affairs Medical Center (WRJ VAMC) is seeking experienced BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physicians to join our Primary Care service as Medical Director in one of two Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). In addition to providing primary care services to a panel of patients, this physician will serve as the Medical Director of the CBOC. The physician will report to the Primary Care Service Chief (PCSC) and Associate PCSCs, who are responsible for clinical oversight of primary care services in the WRJ VAMC in addition to associated CBOCs. The CBOC Medical Director shall be employed as a physician with a minimum of 30% time devoted to clinical care dependent upon location.

The candidate will be fully supported by the Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) that is grounded by evidence-based best practices. These practices provide comprehensive care and are deeply rooted in the local community.

This role will have a minimum of 8 hours weekly of administrative/clinical support duties as CBOC Medical Director. Besides normal clinical duties this role will be responsible for local CBOC clinical leadership and oversight of Associate Providers in collaboration with the WRJ VAMC Primary Care leadership team to ensure high quality patient care, fiscal viability, and employee satisfaction. The Bennington CBOC medical director will also provide a minimum of 16 clinical hours weekly at the nearby Vermont Veterans Home.
