Job Details

Benign Hematology Staff Physicians (2)

The Taussig Cancer Institute at the Cleveland Clinic is seeking applicants at the Assistant Professor level or higher with expertise in Benign Hematology. The Benign Hematology program has an established track record in outstanding patient care, clinical trials, and translational research, and is one of the six disease-oriented groups housed in the Taussig Cancer Institute. Our group currently consists of six physicians; however, we hope to recruit two additional hematologists based on our expanding clinical base.

The successful candidate will be committed to clinical care and clinical and/or translational research, and demonstrate an ability to collaborate with colleagues in the benign hematology group on a variety of projects. Research interests in the group include cancer-associated thrombosis, antiphospholipid antibodies, ITP, thrombotic microangiopathies, and others. We are interested in early or mid-career applicants who meet the above criteria, and who are interested in expanding their interests through participation in national and international societies such as ASH, ISTH, HTRS, Anticoagulation Forum, USTMA, and others. The successful candidate should be board certified or eligible in Hematology and hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Ohio. An excellent salary and benefits package and support for meeting travel is provided.

The Cleveland Clinic is a not-for-profit, multi-specialty academic medical center that integrates clinical care with research and education. Both the Cleveland Clinic and Taussig Cancer Institute are rated among the top health care institutions in the country by U.S. News & World Report. The Taussig Cancer Institute is a member of the NCI designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and a NCCN member institution. Secondary appointments in the Lerner Research Institute, currently undergoing significant expansion, are also available for qualified candidates.
