Due to incremental growth, the Duke Radiology Division of lnterventional Radiology seeks candidates for a clinical faculty position as Medical Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor. The position is based at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, also with clinical duties at one or more of our affiliate hospitals and/or our upcoming outpatient office-based practice. Candidates are expected to have a commitment to excellence in academic interventional radiology. The position entails 100% IR.

Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in Interventional Radiology and have demonstrated excellence in research, education, and clinical care. A VIR CAQ is expected for those who are eligible.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility, interest, and ability to perform a broad range of interventions within a busy and growing clinical practice. The range of procedures performed is diverse, including a robust interventional oncology practice, hepatobiliary interventions, portal interventions, peripheral arterial disease, venous interventions, women's interventions, complex gastrointestinal interventions, hemodialysis interventions, and a multitude of others.

Duke has a busy transplant center, with whom we partner extensively to optimize patient outcomes after organ transplantations. Similarly strong partnerships are maintained with hepatobiliary surgery, urology, oncology, trauma surgery (Level 1 center), vascular surgery, and nearly every other clinical service. Involvement in clinic, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary conferences are integral. Faculty who contribute towards procedural growth and innovation are highly valued. Diagnostic biopsies are performed by our subspecialty colleagues in Radiology.

Ideal candidates will have strong research and/or educational interests as well as a record of such. The Duke lnterventional Radiology Translational Research Laboratory provides resources for the pursuit of basic and translational research. Duke Radiology and the IR Division maintain excellence in education of medical students as well as residents in the Diagnostic residency and the Integrated IR residency program.
