Director, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist
Northwell Health - Long Island Jewish Hospital at Forest Hills

Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Service Line is seeking a Board Certified Consultation-Liaison (C/L) Psychiatrist to join our team at Long Island Jewish Hospital at Forest Hills. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills who have a passion for leadership and innovation. Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry required.

This is a truly unique opportunity to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment to hospitalized adult medical-surgical inpatients including a large labor and delivery service, teaching and supervision to medical residents and other medical and allied health professional trainees. The Director will work collaboratively with hospital medicine and behavioral health leaders across the health system to meet and exceed the department's organizational, clinical, operational, and financial goals. Responsibilities include education, supervision, and process improvement. The Northwell Telepsychiatry service covers the Emergency Department 24/7 and the Consultation-Liaison service on evenings, overnights, and weekends so this position has no on-call other than rare bedside emergencies.

Long Island Jewish Forest Hills, a 312-bed community teaching hospital, is also a Level II Perinatal Center, 911 receiving site, New York state-designated Stroke Center, and certified heart station. As a division of Long Island Jewish Medical Center, this hospital in the Forest Hills area of Queens, NY, provides outstanding healthcare to the Queens community and beyond. The facility’s clinical programs cover an array of specialties. These include women’s and children’s health and wellness, emergency care, cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, bariatric surgery, imaging, and laboratory services. Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
