Guthrie is seeking a Fellowship Trained or in certification process, Critical Care Anesthesiologist to work in the care team model with a collegial group of 14 Anesthesiologists and 22 CRNAs. Academic/Faculty opportunities are available for our new Anesthesiology Residency Program.

Guthrie's Robert Packer Hospital-based anesthesia department provides support for various specialties, including oncologic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma (Level II), orthopedics (regional anesthesia blocks), plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology (including pediatrics), labor and delivery, gynecology, urology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, interventional radiology, cardiology, and pulmonary medicine.

Guthrie continues to invest in patient services, as evidenced by expanding our facilities in the Corning/Elmira and Ithaca/Cortland markets. The new Cortland Cancer Center opened this fall. The harbor-front multispecialty facility in Ithaca represents a $31 million investment and is on track for a Spring 2022 opening. We continue to expand services and to grow our provider complement as evidenced by signing over 100 providers in FY21.

• Supervise, coordinate, and manage the patient'scarewith theICUteam andworkclosely with the surgeons and other specialty consultants as needed.
• Practice in 18 state-of-the-art operating rooms, occasionally in cardiac operating room
• Teaching opportunities with regular rotations of residents and medical students
• Robust EHR used in all areas, including operating room (EPIC 10-Star health system, top 1% of EPIC Organizations)
• Anesthesia Techs available to assist in procedures
• Anesthesia Department manages OR schedule, providing the necessary structure for a smooth, efficient workday
