Medical Director- Brand New Cancer Institute in Greater Boston Area

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Medical Director of Hematology and Oncology to join and lead the Dana-Farber Merrimack Valley practice just 28 miles North of Boston and only 4 miles to the New Hampshire border. This is a brand new state-of-the-art facilitythat opened in January 2020 located off of Interstate I93 North in Methuen, MA that offers chemotherapy, biological and targeted therapy, benign hematologic disorders, and genetic counseling.

About the Position:

The Medical Director will supervise all physicians within the practice and ensure compliance with DFCI satellite operational and institute policies. She or he will be responsible for a number of leadership activities and work collaboratively with the executive teams and nurse and operations leaders at the practice.The Medical Director will report to DFCI Network Leadership. In addition, she or he will see outpatients 6 sessions per week and participate in inpatient call coverage.Work in close collaboration with disease centers at DFCI Longwood, with opportunities to foster disease-specific interests within general hematology/oncology practice. The current Medical Director will be relocating to be closer to family.

• At least 5 years of clinical practice in medical oncology and hematology.
• Join 6 experienced Hematologists (6.5 FTE&'s)
• Experienced team of 3.5 Advanced Practice Providers
• Clinical Trials for those with interest
• No teaching responsibility
• 3 Clinical days with 1 dedicated day of Medical Director responsibilities and 1 dedicated admin day. Admin day can be from home if desired
• Shared Call is 1:7 weekends

Compensation and Benefits:

• Total compensation (salary guarantee + production) is in line with Sullivan Cotter and MGMA and based on experience
• Additional stipend for Medical Directorship
