The Hematology and Oncology Division of Maimonides Medical Center invites applications for the position of Attending Physician at the Maimonides Cancer Center in Brooklyn, NY. Applicants with subspecialty interest in breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal, or genitourinary cancers, and/or benign and malignant hematology are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join a collegial group of 12 physicians and 13 advanced practice providers focused on clinical excellence, teaching, and clinical trials. Qualified candidates may also take a leadership role in clinical operations, education, and research within the Division and the Cancer Center. Experienced candidates and new graduates are welcome to apply. The position offers competitive salary, benefits, and faculty appointment at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University.

Maimonides Cancer Center is a Commission on Cancer-designated facility serving a diverse patient population. With a full complement of patient-directed cancer services, the center serves as a training site for residents, Hematology/Oncology fellows, and medical students. Maimonides Breast Center is NABPC-accredited and sponsors a Society of Surgical Oncology-approved Breast Surgery Fellowship. Maimonides Prostate Center is the first comprehensive Prostate Center in Brooklyn and sponsors a one-year fellowship in Urologic Oncology. Cancer Center Grand Rounds, 10 site-specific Multidisciplinary Cancer Conferences, Schwartz Center Rounds, Case Management Rounds, and a variety of other forums provide multiple opportunities for teaching and discussion of patient management. Maimonides Cancer Center participates in NRG, COG, ALLIANCE, and other cooperative group trials as well as industry and investigator-initiated trials.

Requirements: Board-certified/board-eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology and New York Medical License.
