The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Physicians (IUHP), are expanding their faculty and recruiting an additional pathologist to serve the pediatric patient population of Indiana.
The individual selected will join a team based at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis. The IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) is located less than a mile from Riley Hospital for Children and is home to a large faculty of subspecialized academic pathologists, affording easy access to collaboration. This opportunity provides the unique flexibility to sign-out on the adult service for those who wish to practice pediatric pathology at a dedicated children's hospital while maintaining other subspecialty expertise. Additionally, with the new onsite Maternity Tower at Riley, there are opportunities for growth in perinatal/placental evaluations.

Position Details:
  • Deliver professional diagnostic service comprising of anatomic pathology
  • Provide pediatric necropsy service
  • Provide on-call coverage, and conference support with department faculty members
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical care team
  • Teach medical students, residents and fellows
  • Support needs of rapidly growing pediatric divisions, including prominent pediatric GI service
  • Support pediatric oncology service with emerging Precision Genomics

Qualifications:
  • Must be certified in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology
  • Must be BC or BE in Pediatric Pathology
  • Must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana
