Job Details
As we expand our urological health services across Northwell Health, we are seeking a new Chief of Urology at South Shore University Hospital. This exciting position offers the opportunity to lead and continue to develop the department at SSUH.
Qualifications:
- MD Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
- Completion of Residency with Board Certification or eligibility.
- Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
- Must possess recent experience in generally accepted and currently used methods and techniques.
- Outstanding communication and management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and hospital management.
The Department of Urology:
The Department of Urology at Northwell/SSUH provides the very best in comprehensive urologic care on Long Island’s south shore. Our exceptional services include minimally-invasive treatment of the prostate, bladder, and kidneys.
The mission of the Department is to advance the frontiers of urologic care. Our urologic physicians, who are also faculty of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell are instrumental in providing excellent quality care as well as developing novel education programs.
South Shore University Hospital:
South Shore University Hospital (formally Southside Hospital) is a 305-bed hospital 30 miles east of NYC on the south shore of Long Island. We are rapidly growing and have plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds. We are the eastern most Long Island tertiary hospital for Northwell Health. We currently have 36 ICU beds and building another 30 ICU beds by 2023. South Shore University Hospital has become a regional destination for high-quality care on Suffolk County’s south shore.

Salary Disclosure
Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
