Chair of Emergency Medicine Department for Staten Island University Hospital

Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed tertiary care medical center with two campuses on the north and south shores of Staten Island. Our facilities provide a comprehensive array of programs and services to patients from Staten Island, the New York City metropolitan area and around the world.

As Emergency Medicine Chair, you’ll have complete operational and clinical oversight of the department. You’ll collaborate with our large service line leadership team in efforts such as recruiting, finance, business development, and more. You’ll also have the incredible opportunity to work with other healthcare professionals within Northwell Health’s network, helping you to gain a perspective that helps you and our emergency department better serve the communities that trust us as their healthcare leaders.

Staten Island University Hospital

Our Emergency Department includes:

North Site:

  • Approximately 95,000 ED visits annually
  • 911 receiving site
  • Stroke Center
  • Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center
  • Designated STEMI Center
  • Separate Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Urgent Care Fast-Track Area
  • Critical Care Area
  • SkyHealth Transport Program
  • Residency & Fellowship Programs

South Site:

  • Approximately 32,000 ED visits annually
  • Community ED
  • Stroke Center
  • 911 receiving site

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
