Geisinger invites applications for a full-time BE/BC Internal Medicine opening in the Department of General Internal Medicine (GIM) in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Job Duties
Geisinger’s GIM is located on the campus of Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) which offers immediate access to all ancillary services and robust sub-specialist support. The department has a newly established residency program of 39 residents. This physician must excel in patient care and teaching of residents and medical students. If interested, there are opportunities to do clinical research.
Position Highlights:
- Patients new to the practice, those over 65 years and patients returning for an annual physical examination have 40-minute appointments. Follow up appointments for under 65-year patients is 20-minutes.
- Enjoy an excellent quality of life with phone call coverage only
- Immediate access to ancillary services such as Radiology and Phlebotomy
- On-site Case Manager to facilitate the work of physicians
