Intermountain Healthcare (IHC) is an integrated, not-for-profit health system
headquartered in the backyard of the Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake City,
Utah. The Intermountain Healthcare network includes 24 hospitals and 160
clinics, with nearly 40,000 caregivers who serve the healthcare needs of
people across the Intermountain West. Our integrated structure combining
hospitals, health plans, and physicians allows us to provide highly coordinated,
safe, and evidence-based patient care while also reducing cost. Intermountain
Healthcare's mission of "helping people live the healthiest lives possible,"
reflects our expanding role as we focus even more strongly on prevention and
wellness and strive to improve the health of those who live in our communities.

The Intermountain Neurosciences Clinical Program is conducting a search for a board-certified Neurologist with Movement Disorder Fellowship training to join our Movement Disorder Center. Successful candidates will demonstrate extraordinary clinical skills, exemplary bedside manner, strong teamwork, and a passion for disruptive innovation to redefine the ways in which we care for patients.

The Movement Disorder Center is located within the broader Neuroscience Institute on the Intermountain Medical Center (IMED) campus in Salt Lake City, Utah and serves as the hub for movement disorder care for the Intermountain System. The Movement Disorder Center offers comprehensive care including Deep Brain Stimulation and botulinum toxin injections for individuals with Parkinson's Disease (PD) and other movement disorders. Unique services and clinical support staff within our center include robust integration of genetic counseling, a Parkinson's Nurse who serves as our Center Coordinator, and a Nurse Navigator who bridges the clinical and social work needs of our patients. Novel clinical pathways and treatments include a partnership with the Sports Performance Center in Park City, Utah where individuals with Parkinson's and other movement conditions that may respond to exercise engage in high-intensity exercise plans. The Movement Disorder Center is also currently participating in two multi-center PD studies: PDGENEration sponsored by the Parkinson's Foundation, and SPARX3 -currently the largest NINDS funded PD trial. A satellite movement clinic located in St. George, Utah is staffed by a movement specialist and offers access to many of the resources housed at our Salt Lake IMED Center.
