Critical Care and ICU Intensivist Openings in Delaware

Join a Hospital based Critical Care practice at Bayhealth Kent Campus Hospital in Dover. (Pulmonary medicine training is helpful but not required.)

There are currently two pulmonary-critical physicians and three advanced practice clinicians working in the ICU at the Kent campus. The new physician(s) would expand this capacity and coverage, and also assist with ambulatory and hospital based pulmonary medicine if you have that skills and training. This position will entail at least 40% ICU time, more if the physician has critical care background only.

Bayhealth started two new residencies in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine in 2021, with our General Surgery residency begin in July, 2022. Our programs include thirteen Internal Medicine and eight Family Medicine residents per year. An Emergency Medicine residency will begin in 2023 and a Transitional Year program in 2024. Bayhealth also has robust Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) UGME programs in affiliation with Philadelphia medical schools

Bayhealth Medical Center is a fully integrated health care system consisting of two hospitals (Kent Campus and Sussex Campus), a free-standing ED in Smyrna and numerous ambulatory and outpatient offices. Both hospitals are certified Primary Stroke Centers. There is 24/7 Hospitalist coverage at both hospitals, who closely as well as Intensivists in the ICU's. Service are available in most specialties including Neurosurgery, Cardiac surgery, Interventional and Structural Cardiology. Kent has a Cardiac ICU, a Neuro ICU and a Medical ICU; Sussex has a Medical ICU.
