Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified to help lead the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Program at South Oaks Hospital located in Amityville, New York. This is a unique opportunity to provide clinical leadership for an innovative outpatient department.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join the Comprehensive Outpatient Behavioral Service – an outpatient mental health clinic that provides mental health services for children and adolescents from age 5 to 21, dealing with a variety of issues, including anxiety, anger, bullying, depression, self-harm, and trauma with the use of evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The Medical Director will work collaboratively with hospital and health system leaders to meet and exceed the department's organizational, clinical, operational, and financial goals. Responsibilities include oversight of medical providers, attendance and participation in collaborative case conference meetings, and performance of psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.

South Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border of Long Island. Our inpatient services include child, adolescent and adult units, as well as substance use disorder treatments, including services tailored for healthcare professionals dealing with addictions.  Our outpatient services include comprehensive behavioral services for young people ages 5 to 21, an adolescent partial hospitalization program, and treatment for substance use disorders for adolescents and adults.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
