NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, located in the Bronx, accommodates more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital is renowned for The Trauma Center, staffed to treat any traumatic injury or illness, the fully accredited Breast Health Center, and The Burn Center, with more than 40 years of work in burn care. We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to provide inpatient hearing screenings to newborns/infants at NYC Health and Hospitals - Jacobi and North Central Bronx

  • Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Performing newborn hearing screenings in both the Well-Baby and NICU nurseries as well as in the mother's hospital room
    • Documenting results in the electronic medical record
    • Confirming and rescheduling outpatient appointments
    • Record keeping
    • Various other clerical duties as assigned


  • Must be at least a High School Graduate
  • Must be able to work at least one weekend day
  • Interest in working with newborns/infants
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to hire
