Permanent ED Imaging Radiology (RAD) Physician Job in Worcester, Massachusetts (MA)

UMass Memorial Health, the health and wellness partner of the people of Central Massachusetts, the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts and the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School is seeking an ABR certified/eligible Radiologist to join an existing group of fifteen Emergency Radiologists. UMass Memorial covers well over one million lives and is a Level 1 Trauma Center with 95,000 ED visits/year. Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology is desired, but not required.

The UMass Radiology Department has state-of-the art imaging equipment, AGFA PACS system, EPIC EMR, Tera-Recon image processing software, Powerscribe 360 and is running several AI algorithms. The department is comprised of approximately 80 fellowship-trained Radiologists organized into specialized divisions, trains 20 residents (5 per year) and 9 fellows. The department also includes approximately 15 PhDs and is supported by more than $6M/year in research funding.

• Various shifts between 7 am and 1 am, 65% of which can be performed from home (35% performed onsite at the University Campus ED) with a schedule of one week on and one week off. 13 weekends per year.
• Training in interpreting the following modalities is required: CT, MRI, ultrasound, and "Basic" nuclear medicine.
• ED Radiologists work at the University campus with one resident and/or one Emergency Radiology fellow, and remotely cover several other hospitals. Additional opportunities for internal moonlighting within the department are available if desired.
• As the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, Radiology faculty have academic appointments at UMass Chan Medical School, with ample opportunity for clinical and/or basic science research. Extensive opportunities for professional development.
