Kirby Bates is honored to be working with Harwich Port Community Health Center, a member of Outer Cape Health Services, in seeking candidates for their Site Medical Director. Outer Cape Health Services’ mission is to provide a full range of healthcare and supportive social services that promote the health and well-being to all who live in or visit the ten outermost towns of Cape Cod. Outer Cape Health Services is an affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centers and partners with Cape Cod Healthcare.

Harwich Port Community Health Center (HPCHC) provides care to all ages with patient care services that include Medical-Radiology Care, Behavioral Health, Women’s Health Services, Vision Care, as well as community-based services such as WIC Food and Nutrition, tNt Sexual Health, Insurance Enrollment Assistance, Walk-in and Urgent Care, Recovery Services, Telehealth, and COVID vaccines and testing. HPCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center with a payor mix of commercial insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Site Medical Director will provide clinical care, clinical site leadership, and guide the professional practice of the Health Center.

The Site Medical Director works collaboratively to: 

  • Embody the mission of Outer Cape Health Services and exemplify the ethics of the medical profession.
  • Serve as a key member of the Health Center’s Leadership Team.
  • Supervise and mentor providers.
  • Maintain the strong positive culture.
  • Communicate organizational direction and policies.
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient, and patient centered care for patients and the community. 

Qualifications: 

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • A current or eligible medical license in Massachusetts.
