Rheumatology Opportunity in Norwalk, Connecticut (Suburbs 50 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has an excellent opportunity for a 4th Rheumatologist to join our established and growing practice in Norwalk, Connecticut. The ideal candidate should be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Rheumatology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team of 3 Rheumatologists. Full-time and part-time options are available. There will be some teaching responsibility to residents and medical students. We are located in suburban Fairfield County, about 50 miles northeast of New York City and nearby to Westchester County in New York. Generous sign-on and retention bonuses are included.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses, as well as relocation. There is also opportunity for academic affiliation, with optional university faculty appointment as well as teaching and research if interested.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine, and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4-season outdoor and indoor recreation. There are excellent public and private schools and universities in our area. New York City is easily accessible by car or train. Norwalk Hospital has been a proud part of this community since 1892.
