Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatrist to lead its Behavioral Health department as a full-time Medical Director in Anchorage, Alaska. This Medical Director position is key part of a leadership team which is responsible for supporting behavioral health providers while ensuring the clinical integrity of the psychiatry program. You will be supported by a multi-disciplined and collaborative team which includes mental health professionals, primary care providers, nursing staff, system-wide care and case management staff, pharmacists, and substance abuse specialists. - Monday to Friday schedule; 0.8 FTE Clinical and 0.2 FTE Administrative
- Mentor and supports other prescribers within the clinic (ANP's, MD's, & PA's)
- Provide oversight of quality for Psychiatry services
- Collaborate with therapeutic team within the clinic (LCSW's, LMFT's, PhD's, PsyD's, LPC's)
- Collaborates with other members of clinic leadership in guiding clinic functions
- Develop collaborative relationships within the Providence Medical Group outpatient facilities and Providence's comprehensive mental health service line
- MD or DO degree and board certification or eligible in Psychiatry required
