Vice-Chair Research, Department of Medicine

The Department of Medicine, at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, is recruiting a Physician Scientist at the Associate Professor/Professor level to serve as the Vice-Chair for Research for the Department of Medicine. The identified candidate will have an established funded research program and will provide oversight and leadership to the research enterprise in the Department of Medicine to facilitate further growth and development of basic, translational, and clinical research across the department. The identified recruit will be expected to collaborate with the institutional Clinical and Translational Science (CTSA) program, the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine, and other Centers and Institutes within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. Physician Scientists in Cardiovascular Medicine are encouraged to apply. The identified candidate would also have the opportunity for a joint appointment in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine commensurate with the candidate’s background. Educational and clinical responsibilities will be according to the candidate’s interests and experience.
