Reading Hospital has an excellent opportunity for an energetic and talented physician to join our UHMS Certified Wound Care Center in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Our Wound Care physicians are responsible for building the business at the Center and managing physician referral relationships with our network of physicians. This Physician will partner with our Practice Administrator and 2 other Physician wound care specialists.

Our physicians currently provide outpatient care. Patient volume continues to grow, since opening in July 2007; 3 fully equipped 3600 Sechrist Monoplace chambers; Transcutaneous oximetry - 6 leads; Types of patients: cancer, diabetic, osteomyelitis, pressure ulcers. Currently the practice is staffed by , wound care certified nurses, and a Hyperbaric Technician .

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with wound care and/or hyperbaric medicine. BC/BE in Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine and/or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) is a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Valid license to practice; board certified
  • Experience practicing medicine in hospital or private practice
  • Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for patients
  • Highly computer literate and familiar with charting
  • Excels in communicating sensitive and/or adverse information
  • Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities
  • Analytical thinker and complex problem-solver
