Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist (Staff Relief)
Memorial Healthcare System is growing and seeking an ACGME-accredited BE/BC Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist for staff relief with greater than 2 years of experience to join our team in a tertiary care center with a strong referral base. Successful candidates are to be energetic and self-motivated with sharp interpersonal and professional skills. Strong laparoscopic skills are ideal. Incumbents will collaborate with community physicians to ensure that all patients presenting to the hospital are afforded high-quality clinical care from routine obstetrical and gynecologic to high-risk care with the support of midwives, MFM, and Neonatology. Responsibilities include: labor floor, postpartum maternity, ED, Triage, hospital consults, emergent and elective gynecologic surgeries, and outpatient obstetrical and gynecologic care. Successful candidates will be required to do 3-4 8-hour office sessions. Call schedule is either 3-4 24-hour inpatient shifts or 3-4 16-hour inpatient shifts. Candidates with an interest and passion for teaching obstetric and gynecology residents and 3rd and 4th year medical students and an interest in quality improvement are preferred.
This is a staff relief employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
