Practice Information
  • Seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Interventional Pulmonary physician to join the Thoracic Surgery/Cardiovascular Department at Intermountain Medical Center, the flagship hospital for Intermountain Healthcare
  • Position focus is on providing advanced IP care for patients referred with both malignant and benign diseases involving the airways, mediastinum, pleural space, and lung parenchyma
  • Collaboration with 1 interventional pulmonologist, 3 dedicated thoracic surgeons, 3 Medical Assistants, 4 Advanced Practicing Providers, pulmonology, medical oncology and radiation therapy.
  • Weekly system-wide thoracic tumor board. Interventional pulmonary grand rounds are shared with the University of Utah Pulmonary
  • Shared interventional pulmonary fellowship with the University of Utah
  • Outpatient clinic 1 ½ days per week in the Thoracic/IP Clinic located within Intermountain Medical Center
  • Outreach clinics at our sister hospitals
  • All procedures performed in the operating room
  • Currently available equipment:
    • Olympus curvilinear and radial EBUS
    • Ion robotic bronchoscopy
    • O-Arm CT scanner
    • Flexible/Rigid Bronchoscopy: diagnostic and with laser/cautery
    • Stent placement
    • PleurX Catheters
    • Endobronchial valve placement
    • Rigid pleuroscope
    • Tracheostomy/PEG placement
  • Participate in Intermountain and University of Utah affiliated hospitals teaching and research activities. Become a principal investigator for research related to interventional pulmonology and serve as a co-investigator for clinical and translational research led by other division members.

Requirements
  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Interventional Pulmonology
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
