Northwell Health is recruiting a full-time BE/BC Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatry CL team at Lenox Hill Hospital. The ideal candidate should be energetic and innovative and enjoy a collaborative, team-based approach. Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred, but not required.
The successful candidate will provide inpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up on medical/surgical services as well as provide consultations in the emergency department. Responsibility includes evaluating and treating patients that have behavioral complications from medical illness, complications from medications, psychiatric disorders that are co-morbid with medical conditions, and medical complications of different psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities in the emergency department include assessment and management of behavioral emergencies and evaluating patients presenting with psychiatric complaints. The position includes both hospital and ambulatory components, consisting of dedicated time with the Primary Care practices. Generous faculty practice plan includes quality office space to see patients after hours. In addition, teaching opportunities exist (medical students, residents, psychology trainees, etc.) and trainee rotations are expanding.
