The Abdominal Transplant Institute

Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in conjunction with the Department of Surgery at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a full time Medical Director of Transplant Hepatology to join our dynamic team of multidisciplinary transplant providers.

Why join our team:

Tufts Medical Center is seeking an experienced Transplant Hepatologist as Medical Director of Transplant Hepatology. Tufts Medical Center is the academic hospital hub for the Tufts Medicine System. The hospital has prioritized our transplant programs and is exploring the opportunity of opening a new Liver Transplant Program in New England. As the medical director of this program you would have Co-Director status with a surgeon to build and grow this liver transplant program with full institutional support. This would include oversight and hiring of a full complement of multidisciplinary providers, oversight over clinical and quality care, as well as program and policy development.

Tufts Medical Center is an exceptional, not-for-profit, 415-bed academic medical center located in the heart of Boston. The Medical Center is the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine. The Tufts GI / Hepatology Division is an active teaching environment, with 8 full time fellows in addition to Internal Medicine residents and Tufts medical students.

How you'll transform patient care:

· You'll posses strong leadership and organizational skills

· You'll provide both outpatient and inpatient consultations in of transplant patients with support of Tufts GI fellows, APP's and dedicated pharmacist's and dieticians.

· You'll will work together with your surgical director counterpart to oversee the entire liver transplant program as part of our new Abdominal Transplant institute

· You'll join an organization built on designing a network to care for patients frictionlessly

Who you are:

· Board Certified in Gastroenterology / Hepatology

· Background in leadership, teaching, and research.

· Passionate and interested in teaching and building a busy clinical practice

· Able to obtain a Massachusetts medical license
