Cleveland Clinic, one of the worlds most distinguished academic medical centers and ranked by U.S. News & World Report announces a search for the Chair of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. The Department is one of four departments within the Respiratory Institute (the other three are the Department of Critical Care Medicine, the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, and the Department of Infectious Diseases). The Cleveland Clinic Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is one of the largest in the United States with 23 Staff and 3 advanced practice providers and is committed to excellence in patient care, research, education and advocacy. Our growing team has expertise in diagnosis and treatment of common and less common conditions encompassed by our specialty. A state of the art multidisciplinary Food Allergy Center was recently opened. The Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship program currently has a total of 4 fellows.

The ideal candidate will be recognized nationally for his/her experience and accomplishments in clinical care, teaching, and research. For individuals with active research programs, laboratory space and support package is available from the Lerner Research Institute (LRI), which is home to basic, translational, and clinical research at the Cleveland Clinic. The Department of Inflammation & Immunity within LRI advances scientific understanding by bringing together a dedicated and collaborative team of scientists at the forefront of immunologic and organ-based research, to deliver impactful translational science that improves the health and well-being of patients at Cleveland Clinic and across the globe. https://www.lerner.ccf.org

Applicants should have a record of excellence in mentoring and career development of faculty, residents and medical students. The successful candidate will be a proven and confident leader with experience working within a clinically integrated network, a demonstrated ability to engage multidisciplinary teams, and lead initiatives in clinical care and research. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Board Certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required.
