Northwell Health’s North Shore University Hospital is seeking a Director of Consultative Cardiology.

North Shore University Hospital, home of the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital, serves as the quaternary hospital for Northwell Health, a 23-hospital academic health system in New York. Northwell Health Cardiology, the largest provider of cardiovascular care in New York, has seen tremendous growth over the past several years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services.

The responsibilities of the Director of Consultative Cardiology include the management of inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular patients. In addition, the individual will have an administrative role focused on building efficiencies and best practices. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in cardiovascular imaging, based on the skillset and departmental needs, as well as teaching medical students and house officers.

This is a full-time academic position with vast clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. Board-eligibility / certification in cardiovascular disease is required. The candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell / Hofstra commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
