Northwell Health’s Department of Pathology is recruiting a Senior Surgical Pathologist with at least ten years of progressive clinical and leadership experience to serve as Associate Chair/Chief of Surgical Pathology at Staten Island University Hospital. Applicants with subspecialty experience/training in GYN/Breast Pathology, Pulmonary Pathology, or GU Pathology are particularly encouraged to apply. Clinical Research is supported and an independent residency program is in place.

The Associate Chair of Pathology/Chief of Surgical Pathology is required to serve the department in both a clinical and administrative capacity. As such, the duties of the position include participation in the day-to-day operation of the surgical pathology service as well as administrative oversight of all aspects of Anatomic Pathology (i.e. resident education, organization of conferences, QA, hospital-wide committees, etc.).
