Job Details

The PRN Radiation Oncologist's duties include confirming diagnoses, determining the appropriate treatments, and conducting radiation therapy.

The provider will work closely with our experienced radiation oncology team which includes ABR certified radiation oncologists and physicists. The successful candidate must have adequate clinical and interpersonal skills as part of a collegial, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary team.

Radiation Oncologist Core Responsibilities:
  • Conducting tests and examinations to confirm diagnoses.
  • Executing radiation treatments such as external beam radiotherapy including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and stereotactic treatments.
  • Developing treatment plans which comprise the appropriate therapeutic techniques and drug dosages to be administered.
  • Consistently monitoring patients' progress.
  • Providing pharmacological treatment and suggesting appropriate lifestyle changes.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO or MD/PhD, ABR board-certified radiation oncologist.
  • Completion of a radiation oncology residency program.
  • Active State of New Hampshire and Vermont Medical Licenses
  • Prior experience treating and diagnosing cancer patients.
  • Adequate knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and techniques.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A compassionate and empathetic personality.
  • Ability to practice on a PRN "as-needed basis" across several locations in New Hampshire and/or Vermont.
