Full-Time Neurology Opening- Academic/Teaching Opportunity –Poughkeepsie, NY 75 miles north of NYC

Nuvance Health Medical Practice, an affiliate of Vassar Brothers Medical Center, just 75 minutes north of New York City, has excellent opportunities for an employed, full-time Neurologists to join our growing Neurosciences Program in Poughkeepsie, NY. We are seeking dedicated and well-trained physicians with subspecialty training preferred in epilepsy, movement disorders, and/or neuromuscular disorders. The practice is a combination of inpatient and outpatient coverage. The Neurology Division is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program, including Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation.

Our practices cover three hospitals and have locations throughout the Hudson Valley. Our team of neurologists offers subspecialties that include neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuroimmunology. We recently received full accreditation for an ACGME approved residency program. There is ample opportunity to participate in teaching, clinical trials, and other clinical research.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

VBMC is a 365-bed facility that has served New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. Overlooking the beautiful Hudson River in the city of Poughkeepsie, NY, VBMC has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care, and women and children’s health services. Additionally, a new state-of-the-art patient pavilion which features all private rooms is scheduled to open in this month.

VBMC is also now part of Nuvance Health.
