The Department of Infectious Diseases at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston/Fort Lauderdale, Florida has a faculty position opening for a well-qualified Director of Transplant Infectious Disease . This position will be a combination of direct patient care including direct oversight of our rapidly expanding transplant programs. Administrative support for this position will be provided.

Candidates will work in both the inpatient general, surgical and transplant infectious diseases consult service. We provide consultations in the office setting, including HIV care, general infectious diseases, pre- and post-transplant transplant infectious diseases and travel medicine.

The applicant must have a demonstrated track record of clinical experience in the field of transplant infectious disease. New graduates will not be considered for this position. Our transplant program provides liver and deceased donor renal transplants, living and deceased donor liver transplants, and heart transplantation. New programs in hematopoietic stem cell transplant and lung transplant are currently under development. The candidate is expected to lead and develop institutional protocols for pre- and post-transplant care.

We have robust, nationally recognized training programs with ample opportunity to participate in medical education including students, residents, and fellows. We have several active clinical trials underway. Collaborative opportunities for clinical and basic science research are available with our state of the art Florida Research and Innovation Center in Cleveland Clinic, Martin County.

The candidate will join a group practice of collaborative infectious disease physicians and advanced practice nurses. Call rotation is 1:5
