This is a unique position that is 0.5 Pediatric Endocrine and 0.5 General Pediatrics. The Endocrine portion of the FTE will be dedicated to providing consultative endocrine support to a large network of Primary Care providers, caring for approximately 50k children. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and developing treatment plans for a wide variety of common non-diabetic endocrine conditions and then sharing this plan with the Primary Care provider to manage in the patient's home clinic. Responsibilities will involve diagnostic visits with referred patients, either in-person or via video, as well as providing e-consults to Primary Care providers to assist in lab follow up, diagnostic clarification and ongoing management. This position will also serve as the primary daytime endocrine consult for specialty and inpatient pediatric services. The remainder of this full-time position will be as a 0.5 Pediatrician, providing routine care to children in a Primary Care pediatric clinic.
