Northern Light Health is seeking a Senior Physician Executive (SPE) to lead our Central region member organizations. The SPE will build and cultivate a system-synched culture, in which patient safety and the achievement of the highest quality standards are a top priority for all clinicians and staff. The individual will be the administrative physician leader of the organizations and will be responsible for leading clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient services, quality, and safety outcomes while showing tangible improvement in provider engagement, alignment, and satisfaction. The SPE will also participate in system-wide committees and various corporate initiatives.
The Senior Physician Executive will work in partnership with fellow senior leaders charged to establish the overall direction of and priorities for NLH Inland and Sebasticook Valley Hospital (SVH) assuring safe, patient-centric, cost-effective care; the SPE assumes specific operational responsibilities to provide strategic and leadership oversight to the development, implementation, and measurement of highly effective, efficient healthcare delivery. The position is a champion of a High Reliability Organization (HRO) fostering all related disciplines to ensure the member organization achieves excellence in becoming an HRO.
The SPE will also be responsible for Medical Staff affairs beyond the realm of patient safety, quality, and coordination of care. Requirements for this opportunity include a MD/DO from an approved medical college or equivalent and post-graduate training in an ACGME-accredited program.
