The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Duke University is recruiting for an Assistant Professor level faculty member to further build our dedicated transplant infectious diseases program. This faculty member would join our two current full-time transplant ID faculty.

Clinical duties will include providing consultative infectious diseases inpatient patient care, pre and post-transplant evaluations and engaging in multidisciplinary rounds. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain independent research funding, either in the clinical or laboratory-based setting. Qualified candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric infectious diseases, and have experience with infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts. Salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Start date is negotiable, but approximately July 1, 2022.

The Duke Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is comprised of internationally-renowned experts in the molecular, translational, and clinical research of infections and the clinical management of these illnesses in children. The division consists of 19 full or part-time faculty (MD, MD/PhD, or PhD), and has trained pediatric ID fellows for over 40 years. Our dedicated transplant service began in 2017 and cares for children with stem cell and solid-organ (liver, kidney, heart, intestinal) transplants as well as all oncology patients.
