HEART FAILURE, VAD AND TRANSPLANT ATTENDING CARDIOLOGIST

The Hartford Cardiovascular Institute and Hartford Hospital, a major academic/teaching affiliate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine, seeks a Full Time Heart Failure, VAD and Transplant Cardiologist for its Center for Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Vascular Disease. Hartford Hospital is a 819-bed tertiary referral center with a full-service program in cardiovascular diseases, 132 dedicated cardiac beds, a 30-bed CHF inpatient unit and an outpatient heart failure disease management clinic. The hospital has 3 formally affiliated acute care referral hospitals as well as collaborative arrangements with 2 additional acute care hospitals. The Heart Failure program is vibrant and performs 10-20 heart transplants a year, has an active LVAD and multidisciplinary ECMO program as well as pulmonary hypertension program. The successful candidate will be BE/BC in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant, be skilled in heart failure/transplant clinical care, be able to collaborate with private practice physicians, supervise trainees and be committed to clinical research.
