The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Senior Director for the Division of Hematopathology to be a part of their integrated Anatomic Pathology Service centrally located in Greenvale, NY.
The Hematopathology Service covers two major tertiary hospitals (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center) along with a robust outreach program. Reporting to the Associate Chair of Anatomic Pathology, responsibilities of the Senior Director of Hematopathology will include providing senior oversight of the Hematopathology services for Northwell Health, including direct authority over the practice of Hematopathology in the central region Anatomic Pathology group, and collaborative leadership for the practice of Hematopathology at other system sites. The Senior Director of Hematopathology will also serve as senior liaison for Hematopathology with system clinical and administrative leadership. Eligible candidates must have American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and in Hematopathology, 10 + years of progressive senior management experience in Hematopathology services as well as a strong academic/teaching background with demonstrated academic accomplishments. Possession or eligibility for relevant Certificates of Qualification relating to directorship of Hematopathology laboratory services is required.
