Title: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Duties: The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195) collaborates with team members within the Head and Neck Institute and across other relevant Cleveland Clinic domains in a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care with a special emphasis on orofacial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, cleft palate, temporomandibular joint and reconstructive surgery. The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon deals with pathologic, congenital, or traumatic defects of the lower two-thirds of the face, the lower portion of the orbital cavity, the maxilla, and the mandible, determining the need for and performing oral and maxillofacial surgery on patients based on current clinical best practices and generally accepted American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) guidelines. He or she is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, abnormalities, and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity and maxillofacial structures; and performing oral surgical operations to treat affected areas.

Requirements: At minimum, the position requires a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree; completion of a four (4) year CODA-accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program; Board eligibility or Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; and Ohio Dental License.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($300,000 per year)
