Low trauma volume.��Full time.��Employed (salary with incentive)..��Opportunity is 8 hours of administrative work and 24 hours of clinical work per week.��Minimal nights.��Three weekend shifts per month.��Looking for American Residency trained, board certified.ASSOCIATE CHIEF OF THE SECTION OF EMERGENCY MEDICINEJOB DESCRIPTIONQualifications:Must meet criteria for Medical Staff and should receive appointment to the Active Staff. Must be Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine and have at least three to five years' experience in Emergency Medicine. Must have Emergency Medicine administrative experience or show evidence of the potential to successfully assume Emergency Department administrative responsibilities.Functions:As Associate Chief, the individual will assist the Chief of Emergency Medicine in coordinating the activities of the Emergency Department to ensure effective and efficient operation in accordance with hospital objectives and priorities and regulatory and accrediting agencies.Reports to:Chief of Emergency Medicine.Duties and Responsibilities:�Assist Chief in initiating, implementing, coordinating and overseeing Emergency Medical Quality Programs compatible with and ensuring furtherance of the hospital's Quality Management System. Assist Chief in recruitment and selection of competent, qualified physicians, physician extenders (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) and other clinicians to staff the Emergency Department. Assist in overseeing and evaluating their performance in keeping with Department standards. Assist Chief as designated representative for planning department educational programs. Serve as a designated representative in the Chief's absence. Assist Chief and the Emergency Department in their role as EMS System interface and coordinators. Serve as the Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator. Assist Chief in optimizing and training Emergency Department providers on Electronic Health Record. Assist Chief in overseeing the Geriatric Emergency Department. Attend weekly leadership meetings and complete assignments delegated by the Chief as needs ariseSteve Pearlstein, steve@olesky.com,�781-772-1020 ext 227
