Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. (BCCS) is currently looking for a fulltime Physician specializing in Addictions Medicine. We are a welcoming and innovative organization that contributes to stronger communities and enhancing quality of life by creatively providing Education, Advocacy, Treatment, and Prevention services. With integrity, we promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental health, substance use, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. BCCS has locations throughout Delaware including Wilmington, Newark, Milford and Georgetown.

Physician- Addictions Medicine

BCCS is seeking an MD or DO with experience in behavioral health/addictions medicine or psychiatry.
Clinical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate all clients for medical evidence of present and past opiate addiction.
- Physically examine all applicants seeking acceptance in the program for past and present medical problems
- Diagnose, treat, or appropriately refer clients with medical problems that arise during the course of treatment

Education & Certification Requirements
- Medical degree from accredited Medical School.
- Licensed as a physician in the State of Delaware.
- Supervised internship and residency
- Valid U.S. and Delaware DEA licenses.

Bayhealth Medical Center is a fully integrated health care system consisting of two hospitals (Kent General and Milford Memorial), a free-standing ED in Smyrna, and numerous ambulatory and outpatient offices. Both hospitals are certified Primary Stroke Centers. There is 24/7 Hospitalist coverage at both hospitals, as well as Intensivists in the ICUs. Service are available in most specialties including Neurosurgery, Cardiac surgery, Interventional and Structural Cardiology. Kent has a Cardiac ICU, a Neuro ICU, and a general ICU, Milford has a general ICU.
