Baystate Health, a western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the UMass Chan Medical School - Baystate, is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease physician to join our organization.
Position Highlights –
- Join our team of 10 physicians and APPs at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our comprehensive clinical ID program involves inpatient consultation services at the main Baystate hospitals and contracted facilities, outpatient and telehealth services including Ryan White–funded HIV clinics in our community health centers, hepatitis clinic, multidisciplinary post-COVID clinic and well- established antimicrobial stewardship and comprehensive infection control programs.
- Involved in teaching and work closely with our ID fellows as well as residents and medical students with a faculty appointment to the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate.
- Seize the opportunities to do clinical research in infectious diseases. The division has an existing clinical research program and participated in clinical trials in HIV, hepatitis C, influenza, vaccines and COVID-19.
- Collaborate with top-notch clinical microbiology laboratory that offers state-of-the-art testing for infectious diseases and consultative services throughout Massachusetts.

Qualifications: ABMS BC/BE in Infectious Disease and a strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning. Demonstrated experience as a clinical educator as well as scholarship experience is important. A track record of funded clinical research or potential for funded clinical research is highly desirable. The opportunity exists for the right candidate to take a leadership role in our post-COVID- 19 clinic.
