Cleveland Clinic, one of the worlds most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Chair of the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The ideal candidate will have experience leading in a large integrated healthcare organization. The Chair will have responsibility for the clinical, educational, research and financial programs within the department. A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

We are searching for an accomplished clinician with a strong training pedigree to advance the Department into the future. The ideal candidate would have the skill set to build upon and strengthen an existing academic program expanding the areas of translational and clinical research. We are seeking a servant leader with experience in leadership, teaching, administrative skills, mentoring (faculty, fellows, residents and medical students), and program development. An ideal candidate will possess superior communication skills with experience in team and program development. The department is poised to grow both in staff numbers and geographically. Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required.

The Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology covers most subspecialty areas with existing strengths in hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, general gastroenterology, and motility.
