The Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a BE/BC eligible faculty member to join our 90-member Division in our hospital-based Internal Medicine Faculty Practice. The Division is the largest in the Department of Medicine and performs the bulk of teaching for the Department. We are in the midst of many exciting practice and teaching innovations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching and improving patient care. Faculty in the Division have an opportunity to participate in a variety of clinical teaching activities with residents and medical students and may collaborate with researchers in our Center for Clinical Effectiveness and Center for Health Information.

Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct outpatient clinics in the Hoxworth Center
  • Strive to improve clinical processes, as well as patient care, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center
  • Teach in the Internal Medicine Residency program
  • Directly teach medical students in all four years
  • Regularly attend section/divisional/department meetings and educational events

Minimum Requirements
Must have all of the following prior to effective date of appointment: 1) Medical degree (MD, DO, or foreign equivalent); 2) Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency; 3) Board eligibility in internal medicine as defined by completion of a three-year internal medicine residency.; 4) Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board, with a valid DEA license for Schedule II-V, and all independent prescriptive authority therein.
