Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member to provide educational and programmatic leadership, patient care, teaching, and clinical supervision of trainees in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Stony Brook Medicine encompasses Suffolk County, Long Island's premier 600+ bed academic hospital and regional referral center for complex quaternary care and level I trauma and houses the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University.

The Consultation-Liaison division includes a well-staffed teaching service for residents and students, a Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and inpatient specialty liaisons in Hospital Medicine and in Pediatrics. The department includes a growing number of ambulatory integrated care and telehealth initiatives with primary care and medical sub-specialties.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Psychiatrist (MD). Board Certified / Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry. Eligible for New York State licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

1). Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry, or additional boards in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Neurology.

2). Board Eligible in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

3). Experience in an academic medical center Consultation-Liaison service.

4). Track record of scholarship.

5). Leadership experience in Consultation-Liaison education and clinical service delivery.
