The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine, is searching for full-time faculty members at the Assistant Professor rank. The appointees will join a well-established General Medicine program and develop an academic niche that builds upon our faculty expertise in primary care, health care delivery, medical education, and health equity. Clinical responsibilities include seeing patients in our Primary Care Group at our Hyde Park campus and occasionally at our network and affiliate sites. Other duties will include the teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants with interest in team-based care and healthy equity for diverse patient populations. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Medicine / Pediatrics.
