Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterologist at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut, located about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long established, busy, and growing practice, with 12 physicians and 9 advanced practitioners. Responsibilities include both outpatient practice and inpatient coverage. There is also opportunity for a faculty appointment. Full-time GI inpatient opportunity (GI hospitalist) available for interested candidates.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible gastroenterologist looking to join a highly collegial team. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, in Fairfield County, is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT.
