Atrius Health seeks a Chief of Hematology/Oncology to provide leadership, strategic vision and oversight of the service line. The Chief is responsible for the delivery of high quality clinical programs in an out-patient community setting as part of a multispecialty group practice. Services include managing cancer care at multiple sites, out-patient chemotherapy(up to and including level 4 chemo), infusions and a cancer genetics program. Chief is responsible for overseeing and the development of professional staff; achieving departmental quality, financial, and patient satisfaction goals; developing new initiatives; overseeing department operations & resources and collaborating with our hospital partners, to support our patients' hospital care.The Chief will drive the development and implementation of system-wide Cancer Services strategies andwill also work closely with other specialties to provide truly integrated care for our patients.

The Chief of Hematology/Oncologytakes a lead in the development and implementation of innovative clinical/administrative initiatives to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of oncology services and will work closely with clinical leadership, executive management, and senior administration to help achieve outstanding clinical performance and to engage in strategy for Oncology care across the system. TheChiefreports to the Chair of Medical Specialties.

Our Hematology/Oncology department is based in our flagship Kenmore practice located just steps away from Fenway Park in downtown Boston, and also offers services in our Dedham practice, conveniently located just off of Route 128. The Kenmore practice, which also draws referrals from our other practices, includes over 150 physicians with on-site medical and surgical specialties/procedures, pharmacy and radiologic services including MRI and CT. Located in the heart of Boston's renowned medical community, this practice presents an unparalleled opportunity for professional development and advancement within a highly integrated delivery system. This position is both clinical and administrative. Opportunities for teaching exist through our affiliations with Harvard Medical School and the Tufts University School of Medicine.

Requires BC in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology, minimum 5 years of clinical experience, a proven track record of physician management (preferably in an ambulatory setting), a demonstrated strong interest in developing Hem/Onc clinical program initiatives, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
