IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians, which is part of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Surgeon to practice in our brand new hospital in Bloomington, IN!

Position Details:
  • Full-time employment opportunity
  • Monday - Friday schedule, Call schedule: 1:6
  • Procedures for a wide range of illnesses, emergency surgery for acute illnesses or injuries, robotic surgery available
  • Team: 5 physicians, 2 advanced providers, support staff (RNs, LPNs, CMAs, Respiratory Therapists, Office Staff)
  • Medical students on site, residency program developing in 2-3 years
  • New hospital being built and set to be complete in 2021!

Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • Open to current fellows and practicing physicians

Compensation Details:
  • Income guaranteed, production incentive, and sign-on bonus included
  • Comprehensive benefits package with group insurance (health, dental, life, disability), 401k with company match, PTO, relocation assistance and occurrence-based malpractice insurance coverage starting the first day of employment
  • 6 weeks of vacation per year

IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians providers deliver care in 11 counties in South Central Indiana (Brown, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen, and Washington). The group covers a patient base of just under 500,000. The region is home to three hospitals and one ambulatory care center - IU Health Bloomington Hospital, IU Health Bedford Hospital, IU Health Paoli Hospital, and IU Health Morgan.
