Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Cardiology is seeking a Director of Structural Heart Interventions. This individual would be expected to lead the structural heart team – comprising of the structural interventionalist, cardiothoracic surgeon, vascular surgeon, anesthesiologist, imager, nurse, and coordinators – in the planning and performance of structural heart interventions at the Loma Linda University Medical Center. The individual would also grow the program by building and expanding upon referrals throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding communities. The qualified candidate is expected to be fellowship trained and experienced in performing TAVRs, valve-in-valve interventions, MitraClips, tricuspid clips, PFO/ASD closure, and PVL closure, among other procedures. The Director will lead the team in evaluating patients in the weekly outpatient structural clinic, as well as consultations in the inpatient setting, and then lead the discussion and review of clinical data in the multidisciplinary structural conference to arrive at the best treatment plan for each patient. As an academic program, responsibilities include teaching and supervising interventional cardiology fellows in structural heart interventions, and participating in clinical research.

Apart from structural heart interventions, additional clinical responsibilities include attending in the cardiac catheterization lab for coronary angiography and interventions, general and STEMI call, continuity clinic, and occasional clinical duties at satellite facilities.
